About Hogan's Alley creator
Bill Hogan:
a 1984 graduate of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia,
holds a B.A. with a major in American History and a minor
in Computer Science. He cut his teeth in the newspaper
business while interning at the Roanoke Times & World
News and spent five years as an assistant to the Sports
Information Director at Roanoke College.
Though it would be his minor in Computer Science that
would lead him to Park Avenue in New York as a programming
analyst, it was his passion for history and sports and
the desire to write that led to the first publication
of Hogan's Alley in January, 2001.
For over three years, Hogan has honed his skills as a
writer while developing a unique style for delivering
interesting and accurate sports stories and has had the
opportunity to cultivate an eager and loyal readership.
Writing sports from such a unique perspective is not an
avocation for Hogan, it is a career choice that has enabled
him to flourish as a writer, utilize his talents as a
historian and mature as a sports enthusiast. Contact Bill

About Ronald L. Mann, Ph.
D:
Ronald L. Mann, Ph.D. is a Peak Performance Coach and
author. He obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology
from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1971,
and a Doctor of Philosophy from the California School
of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles in 1974. He also
received post graduate training in Executive Coaching
and Organization Development from the William James Institute,
Professional School of Psychology. He practiced as a Licensed
Psychologist from 1976-2002. He has appeared on Fox Sport's
Net, the Gary Collin's Show, Good Morning America and
numerous radio interview shows.
Dr. Mann specializes in helping golfers of all levels
play their best. Golf is a very complicated game that
requires both physical and mental skills. The majority
of teaching methods focus upon the mechanics and leave
out the most important aspect of the game: the mental/psychological
aspects. Dr. Mann combines the best of psychological approaches
with yogic philosophy, meditation and breathing techniques
to help free the individual from those aspects in the
mind and emotions that limit peak performance.
Dr. Mann is a certified Golfpsych instructor, which is
the only tour-research based system proven to help professionals
play at their best. Dr. Mann has worked with PGA Teaching
Professionals, Professional Tour Players, College and
High School Teams and individual amateur golfers of all
ages from 6 to 70. His most noteworthy golf clients include:
Lee Brandon (2001 Woman's Long Drive Champion), UCLA Woman's
golf team, UC Davis Men's golf team, Windward High School
golf team, players from the Hooter's Tour and Men's Long
Drive Competition.
Dr. Mann provides individual coaching both in person and
via the telephone. He can be reached through email at
mannr@ronmann.com or by telephone at 310-459-9507.
